Stoney Creek Park is located in the Northtown Park subdivision and offers barbeque pits, ADA-compliant picnic tables, a soccer field, a sand volleyball court, a dirt bike (mountain bike) trail, and a pergola for family gatherings.
Smaller parks are located in the Meadow Pointe and Wildflower subdivisions. These two parks are connected by a beautiful hike and bike trail that meanders though the large greenbelt area adjacent to these neighborhoods. All of the district's parks feature playscapes for youngsters to enjoy. Additional park areas are planned in the developing sections of the district. The newest facilities in the district, in the Brookfield subdivision, are owned and operated by that neighborhood's homeowners association. These amenities include a beautiful pool and environment-friendly wet ponds that complement the natural aspects of the greenbelt areas. Access may be restricted to HOA members and their guests only. The district is currently developing its largest park, approximately 50 acres, north of the creek and adjacent to Brookfield. Amenities will include new ponds, more hike and bike trails, dog parks, soccer fields, a pavilion with restrooms, a disc golf course, and more. |

Park Construction Concerns
Some residents have asked about the parking lot gate being locked at the new park on Harris Ridge and Sebastian Bend. We apologize for the inconvenience any of you may have faced regarding the lot not being accessible in the evening. Although we are trying to make as much of this new park available to the public please understand that it is still under construction and in fact more work -- such as a pavilion with restrooms, a disc golf course, fitness stations, and lighting for the lot -- will commence soon. Until the park and its facilities are completed we are closing the lot when construction or maintenance workers are not present in order to reduce the potential for injury or vandalism. When the projects are all finished and the park can return to the maximum availability you should find the current inconvenience to be worth the trouble. We appreciate your patience while we work to complete these improvements. |
